The Science

I have had all the signs of metabolic syndrome which causes Insulin resistance which is the precursor to Type 2 Diabetes and a myriad of other horrific diseases that are devastating Maori.

  • Excess thirst
  • Frequent urination
  • Excess Belly Fat
  • Fatigue
  • Skin Tags
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Cravings and Hunger
  • Body inflammation (swelling)
  • Dark skin under chin, groin, or armpits
  • Anxiety

If you have any of these or all of them, like I did, and you are on a myriad of medication for it, Keto can help you, it may save your life.  If your doctor won't help you and is okay for you to live half a life, in discomfort, stuck on medication that may not be helping you,  find another doctor.

New Zealand Health Survey 2016/17 found that:

  • around 1 in 3 adults (aged 15 years and over) were obese (32%)
  • a further 34% of adults were overweight but not obese
  • 50% of Māori adults were obese
  • 69% of Pacific adults were obese
  • adults living in the most deprived areas were 1.5 times as likely to be obese as adults living in the least deprived areas*
  • the adult obesity rate increased from 27% in 2006/07 to 32% in 2016/17.
These stats are frightening. Why?  Because they are totally avoidable.  We have been lied to for years.  People are dying because of the "Low Fat' obsession that was based on data that has been proved wrong, again and again.
