Low Fat diets do NOT work. Calorie counting does not work in the long term, let me say that again but louder, low fat counting calories does not work for the long term. You will lose weight initially, maybe a lot of weight but you will put all the weight back on and MORE. That is the truth.
The food industry, the diet industry, the world media and worse of all Medical Science has blamed the failure of Calorie Counting diets on us, the people, sucked into this lie and we have spent years feeling hopeless and trapped in this cycle of self abuse.
I am angry about this. So angry.
Not only has the lie of Low Fat, the upside down food triangle and the lie of calories in - calories out been canon since the 70's, but since then chemicals have been put in 80% of the food we buy in the supermarket, which turns straight into fat.
I have put video and links as to the scientific research of the obesity epidemic facing the western world and the reasons behind it. This epidemic is straight from the good old US of A and is rapidly spreading to the rest of the world.
Food should be a celebration of life. Instead, for me it has always been a War. Actually it is the weapons and ammunition while my body was the battle field and I am not alone. I am legion. I am writing this for all of us. All the embattled soldiers who have been fighting the effect of foods that are wreaking havoc on our bodies.
Why do we do it to ourselves? We are in an all consuming passionate, abusive, relationship with food, which includes all the main players in such things, love, hate, power and remorse.
Well there are a myriad of reasons but I am going right back to the beginning of my story and look at where my relationship with food started...
